Our story

Black & White Photographics started as a traditional B&W darkroom printing lab in 1983. Over 40 years we’ve grown into one of Australia’s most trusted professional photographic labs — serving everyone from first-time film shooters to working professionals, commercial photographers, artists, galleries, and institutions. Where everyone gets the pro treatment.

From our lab in Stepney we offer the full spectrum of photographic services: Colour (C‑41), B&W, E‑6 (slide) and ECN‑2 film processing and scanning, photographic and fine art Giclée printing, canvas printing, custom framing, mounting and display options. We scan on our Fuji SP‑3000, Imacon Flextight, and Epson flatbed scanners and print on museum-grade archival papers.
